There is Willard Russell, a murder ghost of a South Pacific veteran, who could not save his beautiful wife, Charlotte, from a painful death from cancer, no matter how much sacrificial blood he poured into the “prayer record.” There are Carl and Sandy Henderson, a married couple of serial killers, roaming the streets of America in search of a suitable model to photograph and destroy. There was a preacher controlling Roy’s spider and a paralyzed virtuoso guitar played by his friend, Theodore, escaping the law. And at the heart of it all is Arvin Eugene Russell, an orphan of Willard and Charlotte, who grew up to be a good but also cruel man.
